Otto Koch, born in Munich in 1949, opened his first restaurant “Le Gourmet” in Munich in 1974 after holding various positions in Germany and abroad. In 2001 he opened the gourmet restaurant KochArt at Robinson Club Alpenrose Select Zürs on the Arlberg/Austria, and as early as 2004 he and his team were awarded a Michelin star for the experience restaurant, which he held until his engagement in Zürs ended in 2009.
From October 2009 to December 2014, Otto Koch was patron of Restaurant 181 in the Olympic Tower in Munich. Here again he reached for the stars, already in the fall of 2010 he was awarded a Michelin star, which he held until the end. From 1998 to 2021, he cooked over 900 times in the television program ARD Buffet and is to date a welcome guest. To this day, he is still a successful chef, whether in his own kitchen studio, in his cooking school or on the international kitchen stage.
